Enquiries are processed so we can reply and, if you instruct us, open a matter. The legal bases under UK GDPR are steps toward a contract and our legitimate interest in running the practice.

How long we keep it

Uninstructed enquiries are kept for two years. Matter records are kept for seven years after the file is closed. You may write to [email protected] to ask for access, correction or erasure. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Sharing

We share personal data with the UK Intellectual Property Office when a filing requires it, and with solicitors or patent attorneys we instruct on your matter. We do not sell personal data.
